Are you are trying to find the balance between your professional life and personal life and just can’t?
Then you have to get a copy of Sally McGoon’s Undesirable Black Diamond book.
Originally from Fiji, Ms McGoon wrote the book when she was at an “undesirable” place in life.
Ms McGoon explained to Fiji Sun Business how this book was the change in her life.
“If you are on a journey searching for yourself and trying to juggle every aspect of your life, it’s important to find yourself and this book is an inspiration.
“If people understand what they are here for, I believe it will help them flourish in whatever business sector they are in.
“If you can at least understand yourself and then you will be able to understand your wife, your children and prioritise your personal life before they prioritise their personal life.”

Inspiration
In 1987 Ms McGoon, from Lami, left Fiji to go to Papua New Guinea. In 1994, along with her family, she migrated to Australia where her journey began.
She said: “My inspiration came from a miracle that transpired in my life.
“I owned the Australian taxation over $32,000 and a miracle happened when I called up to pay my debt off they told me it had been paid off in full so up until today I don’t know who paid off my debt. So that had taken me back to church and changed my life.
“I wrote this book because I was in an undesirable place and I have had so much that I am not proud of but since I found God it helped me understand who I am.”
Ms McGoon explained the book is to reach out to people that are broken, who are suffering, who are lost and to show them that they are loved and there is a way out.

Book
The book can be bought through online book store likes Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, HotBookSale.com and eBay.
“My publishers are going to put my book out to three major distributors in the world that book shops can order from.
“Hopefully in the next couple of week they will be able to stalk my books.”
Ms McGoon is hoping to conduct a book launch in November.
She explained: “Actually on this trip I came to renovate my house but all along I was hoping to promote my book in Fiji and have a book launch in November
“But then my friends got wind of my being here and after speaking with me for a little bit they decided to network.”

Talents
She has been speaking about her book at various corporate organisations and church women groups.
“I think through these sessions with the women I have been able to tap into a new talent which is something I have highlighted in my book.
“I know I am a poet, but through this journey I have also learnt I am a motivational speaker.
“And I want to tap into that. As it goes hand in hand with my poems and writing,” she explained.

Further Plans
Ms McGoon is hoping to pursue this career and at the same time produce more books.
Later this year she hopes to publish a book for young people along with a squel of Undesirable Black Diamond.
She said: “I am writing and still collecting and I continuously get inspired by the trips I make.”
