Swedish Media Add To Spend

The Swedish Royal couple, Prince Philip Carlos and Princess Sofia, who spent their honeymoon on secluded Laucala Island, departed on Wednesday.
Not only would they have boosted Fiji’s tourism image, and generated more tourism dollar but the Swedish media companies in pursuit of their honeymoon story would have done so too.
In fact, Airports Fiji Limited Customer Services manager Joe Gray said the six Swedish media company representatives confirmed this.
“They even hired transfer services to film or to photograph the couple from their long lenses.”
The couple flew out of the country on the Fiji Airways Los Angeles flight, he said.
“What an honour to have met the newly weds, HRH Prince Philip Carlos and Princess Sofia of Sweden.
“They are the perfect match and so humble. True royalty and God-gifted. It was indeed memorable to have met them,” he said.
It is understood that the couple were appreciative of the privacy accorded to them on Laucala Island by staff and management.
The Swedish royals wed in a ceremony in Stockholm on June 13, left just hours after their all-night wedding reception, a Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet had reported.
The royals were on a 12-day honeymoon. The couple flew business class on Fiji Airways A330-200.
