The Wellington Phoenix Premier expects to end their two-match tour to Fiji on a high note.

The team plays Vodafone Fijian Under-23 in the second match at Govind Park in Ba today.

The Kiwis lost the first match 1-2 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva last Saturday.

Phoenix assistant coach Valerio Raccuglia said they were likely to make some changes.

“It was a fantastic experience for all of us,” he said.

“I don’t think anyone was expecting many people to watch us.

“So we are looking forward to another challenge tomorrow (today).”

The side hosted a clinic with Nadi Muslim College and Korovuto College U17 teams yesterday.

“The main focus was for the kids to have fun. I don’t think they need us to come here and teach them how to play football,” he added.

“The main purpose was for us to experience as well and start to know some local people as well but mostly it was for everybody to have a little bit of fun.”

The premier’s match kicks off at 3pm while the Vodafone national side –Wellington Phoenix will play at 6pm at Govind Park in Ba today.
