Suva Battle To Win

RC Manubhai Suva survived a grueling encounter against Macuata to win 24-8 in the Skipper Cup match at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.
The Salimoni Ravouvou- coached side fought hard to win and maintains their lead on top of the Skipper Cup points table.
Without several key players who are with the Vodafone Flying Fijians side, Suva handle the situation well and had that fighting spirit to score three tries in the win.
What happened: The capital city team worked hard and executed their game strategy well.
Jone Taletawa, Marika Tabutari, Kevurieli Bulivorovro scored and two conversions by Sireli Naoba paved Suva’s win.

Suva up the tempo in the second half to win the match. The side showed their class in the second half and displayed excellent play to win.
Star turn: Sireli Naoba was the star for the side making two conversions and a penalty.

Suva coach Salimoni Ravouvou praised his players: “It was a tough match and our players had to work hard to win. The competition is tough and Macuata’s performance shows how tough teams are in this competition.”
Macuata coach Isireli Vesikuru said: ‘Suva was the better side. Our players played well and Suva had experience.”
