John McKee admits it will not be easy to name the starting 15 against the Maori All Blacks at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

The Vodafone Flying Fijians head coach will name the team today after another training session at Buckhurst Ground yesterday.

“It will be tough decisions to choose as the best 23 players are giving their best shot,” Mc Kee said.

McKee said assistant coach/former Bulls coach Frans Ludeke has been blending in well with the players.

“Ludeke is associating himself with the boys and his contribution is a big boost to the side.

“He is looking after the lineouts and the kick-offs and he is making a mark already.”

Tikoirotuma awaits call

Ono-i-Lau native Asaeli Tikoirotuma is working hard fighting for a spot in the Vodafone Flying Fijians team.

“But in preparing to play good rugby and fighting for a spot, I just have to work hard because there are so many good players in the squad,” he said.

Tikoirotuma, who joined the Harlequins in England in 2014 on a two- year contract, said he has more to bring to the team if selected.

“For me I would like to play, I would like to start but first of all I was late to camp and I did not join camp until last night.

“Whatever happens I really don’t mind because people were here last week so they deserve to start.

“For me I just got to fight and keeping fighting for a spot hopefully next week or the week after.”

Tikoirotuma will face stiff competition in the midfield position from the likes of Nemani Nadolo, Vereniki Goneva, Levani Botia and Gabriel Lovobalalavu.

The Harlequins rep shared a bit of his experience while playing in Europe.

“My first season with the Harlequins was a struggle and it was quiet tough transition from Super Rugby to Aviva Premiership.

“I haven’t been playing much when I was in Europe probably16 games so more down time and rehab has really helped me a lot.”
