Fiji’s first fashion show produced in a cinema is an event to be looked forward to.

The show is part of the Miss World Fiji Organization’s effort to raise funds for its Beauty with a Purpose Project, which is focused on children at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital’s Paediatrics ward.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the organisation and Damodar Events Cinemas in support of the show.

Miss World Fiji Pageant Director Andhy Blake said the show would be an opportune time for the public to meet with the top 10 finalists of this year’s Miss World Fiji contest.

“We are hoping to raise something between $6000 to $7000.”

The fashion show will be held on July 22. Tickets are now on sale at F1 Mobile in Garden city, Raiwai and at Damodar Events Cinemas in Damodar city, Laucala Bay, Suva for $25.

The Beauty with a Purpose project was placed 27 out of the 120 countries that participated at the pageant in London last year.

Damodar Event Cinemas chief executive officer Div Damodar said they are looking forward to a successful partnership with the Miss World Fiji Organization in raising funds for the children.

Miss World Fiji 2015 will be crowned on July 25 at the Pearl South Pacific Resort in Pacific Harbour. The winner will represent the country at the 65th Miss World contest on December 19 in Sanya, China.
