Two florists got out of their comfort zones to showcase what they do best on what they had produced through their love for flowers.

Maria Kaukimoce and Miliakere Toga were among florists showcasing their flower pot plants during the Northern Agriculture Show at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday.

Mrs Kaukimoce ventured into commercial floral business five years ago. She is currently a social worker in Labasa.

“I am here today to showcase and advertise my flower pot plants to the people. I have a flower nursery at home,” she said.

“I sell flower pot plants at home for $10 to $20 a bucket and I love looking after my flowers.

Mrs Kaukimoce said she loves doing this job as flowers were beautiful and makes her happy.

Same sentiments were shared by widow Mrs Toga who was selling at the show for the first time yesterday.

She said the show provided a platform where she could market the products of her hobby to earn money.

“I basically sell flowers to earn a living and it is my hobby,” she said.

They were selling bougainvillea, cactus, euphorbia and other flowers.

They were among the 30 vendors selling their products during the four-day show.
