Buadromo Fourth Silver Medal
Matelita Buadromo collected her fourth silver medal in the 200metres freestyle.
Buadromo clocked 2: 08.41 minutes behind New Caledonian favourite Lara Grangeon who won gold with a time of 2:03minutes and Lea Ricarrere of New Caledonia won bronze with a time of 2:13 minutes.
Caroline Puamau finished second place in the 50m backstroke with a time of 29.18sec behind Emma Terebo of New Caledonia who clocked 29.18sec.
In the men’s category Paul Elaisa finished seventh in the men’s 100m butterfly and Meli Malani finished in eighth place.
PNG’s Ryan Pini won with a time of 53.42seconds which was also a new record.
The men’s 4x200m relay freestyle the Fijian team of Carl Probert, Paul Elaisa, Eugene Kado and Kinver Nicholls finished in fifth place.
In other results, the Fiji Outrigger team won bronze in the V12.
