Fijian Hockey Chases Title Defence

Team Fiji hockey teams aim to defend their titles in the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby as competition starts next Monday.
The national men’s and women’s side had their first training sessions at the Sir John Guise hockey turf yesterday,
Head coach Hector Smith said the campaign would not be easy.
“Hockey was not included in 2011 and playing 5-a-side will be new for us but the players are working hard,”Smith said.
“These players are raring to get out there and battle for the best and be the best.”
Bolstering the men’s side would be the brothers Adrian and Hector Smith.
“We are working on a few areas that we need to polish and right now team work is important and our players are working hard on that.
“Team bonding is high in camp and we are looking forward to our games.”
The men play PNG while the women meet Tonga in their first game.
“The facilities are fantastic and the atmosphere is really good,” Smith said.
