Fifteen students from the Suva Special School are lucky to be alive after their school bus collided with a Dee Cees bus yesterday.
The accident happened as the students were being transported back home after school. It was also raining at the time of the accident.
However, the driver of the bus suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Suva Special School teacher, Sulueti Wati, who was inside the school bus, said their school bus was crossing the Laqere Bridge while the Dee Cees bus was coming from Kalabu.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said: “It’s early stage and we are still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.”
