Anita Cheer has allowed her passion for jewellery turn into her side business.

She was thrilled to be showcasing her products yesterday at the Westpac Day Market in Suva.

Westpac Day Market is a regular event hosted in partnership with Fiji National Provident Fund.

“I work at the Samabula Cake Store but I am passionate about jewellery,” she said.

“I don’t wear it but I really like it and like it when other people wear them so I get joy in providing them for other people.”

When Ms Cheer travels, she purchases these jewellery and then sells them here.

“I usually get these jewellery from Los Angeles when I travel.”

Ms Cheer has been selling jewellery for 10 years now.

“I am very grateful for these markets as it gives us an opportunity to sell our products,” she said.

“These markets are very good and when you are not doing anything on Saturdays and Sundays, you can come and sell some products and make some money.

“You also get to meet new people and catch up with old friends as well.”
