Nasinu 2-2 Dreketi

The Dreketi football team stands a good chance of playing in the Rewa Galaxy Premier League next season.

This was after they drew 2-2 with Nasinu in first round of the Viti Levu/Vanua Levu Zone playoffs at the Fiji Football Academy ground in Suva yesterday.

Dreketi has the away goal edge going into the second round at Subrail Park this weekend.

What happened:

The Anish Kumar captained Nasinu team came out firing in the first play but it took them 45 minutes to score

Faushika Kumar scored from a penalty.

Halftime: Nasinu 1-0 Dreketi.

Dreketi scored the equaliser in 54th minute through Rohit Chand.

Nathan Kumar of Nasinu scored in the 80th minute to further their lead 2-1. Nasinu made a lot of basic mistakes in the game allowing Rohit Chand to score another goal for Dreketi in the 86th minute before the game ended.

Star Turn:

A good performance from Dreketi’s right wing Rohit Chand .

Big Play:

Nathan Kumar played well for Nasinu.

Nasinu coach Richard Lal said: “We need to work on our weaknesses and do our best to beat Dreketi.

Dreketi assistant coach Rishi Prasad: “The boys did well in the second half of the game and we are optimistic to win in our second game.”
