Hosts Nadi Hold Ba Draw
The Atunaisa Naucukidi captained Ba Youth side played to a scoreless draw against Nadi Youth yesterday.
This was during Round Two of the Rewa Galaxy Western Zone League competition at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
What happened: Nadi with national U20 rep Mataiasi Toma (midfield), Fiji U17 reps Patrick Joseph and Afraz Ali played well. Ba had the services of Siddhartha Kumar (midfielder), former Fiji U17 defender Suliano Tawanakoro and Fiji U17 reps Karthik Kumar and Amena Bola.
In Round One played last fortnight Nadi beat Lautoka 4-0 and Ba beat Nadroga 6-0 in Ba.
Star turn: Ba goalkeeper Atunaisa Naucukidi and his Nadi counterpart Panapasa Ratumuri also played a grand game.
Big play: Ba defender Suliano Tawanakoro put on good show.
Comments: Nadi coach Nadim Mohammed said, “Good performance from the boys.”
Ba coach coach Sunil Kumar said, “We are happy with how the boys played.”
