As part of the Fiji Police Force’s build-up to the 2015 Ratu Sukuna Bowl Rugby match against the Republic of Fiji Military Forces later this year, the third round of inter-divisional matches was held at the Nasova Ground yesterday.

The double header for the Commissioner and Ravonu Cup challenge was held between defending champions Western Force and the Northern Division.

The Western Division side showed dominance in the both halves but failed to cross the tryline. And despite being rated favourites had to settle for second place with the Northern team taking both titles to the North.

The first-half ended with the Northern Division taking a comprehensive 19-0 lead.

Despite the Western Force’s best efforts to break the strong Northern defence it was futile as the Northerners scored another try with a successful conversion to secure the match with a 26 – 0 victory.

Representatives of the 2015 Ratu Sukuna Bowl Tournament gold sponsor ANZ Bank were on hand to award the best player award to Northern Division’s Filipo Daugunu.

Next week’s challenge will see the Police Special Response Unit travelling to the Northern Division to take on the defending champions.
