Pearls And Samoa Clash

The Fijian Pearls will play Samoa in the netball semifinal of the 2015 Pacific Games.
The Kate Carpenter coached side walloped Cook Islands Black Pearls 69-32 in their pool match yesterday.
Samoa were runners-up from group A after they lost to the PNG Pepes 64-52.
The Fijians put up a fantastic show against the Cooks. The shooting circle led by Taraima Mitchell and Afa Rusivakula were on fire and positional changes saw Maria Lutua playing in midcourt and Alesi Waqa on centre.
Combinations worked out well as they were able to counter Cook Islands in every territory and score goals.
“We are looking forward to the semifinal on Friday against Samoa and Cook Island will take on PNG,”Carpenter said.
“Most of our girls play three positions; we are now working on building different combinations and structures for our girls,” Carpenter said.
She said the Pepes played very well against Samoa.
“They wanted to top their pool so they came out strongly today,” she said.
PNG head coach Unaisi Rokoura looks forward to the challenge.
“Our girls did well against Samoa and we are looking forward to exciting times ahead,” Rokoura said.
