Ambassador Deo Saran presents his Letter of Credence to the Director General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Ahmet Uzumcu in The Hague, Netherlands.

Fiji’s Ambassador to Brussels Deo Saran has presented his letter of credence to Ahmet Uzumcu, the director-general of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague, Netherlands.

Ambassador Saran is based in Brussels and is Fiji’s permanent representative to the OPCW.

In accepting the letter of credence, the director-general conveyed his warm and best wishes to Ambassador Saran and looked forward to working with him in advancing the interests of the organisation.

Ambassador Saran thanked the director- general and assured him of Fiji’s total commitment and full support.

The two discussed capacity development and the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

Ambassador Saran was accompanied by first secretary Mesake Ledua and personal assistant Naitoko Baleisuva.
