Fiji Airways Airbus Struck By lightning In Sydney

A Fiji Airways Airbus A330 got struck by lightning upon arrival at the Sydney International Airports in Australia yesterday.
The airline confirming this said it had to cancel the flight back from Sydney to Nadi yesterday.
This was to allow the airline to carry out precautionary checks to ensure safety of the aircraft.
The Sydney-Nadi flight is scheduled to depart Sydney at 6am (Sydney Time) today.
The weather in Sydney is understood to have been quite bad with thunderstorms and lightning.
The airline said it was unfortunate the Airbus got struck by lightning as a result of the bad weather conditions.
Fijian Communications consultant, Graham Davis, was a passenger on the plane.
He posted on his Facebook page an eyewitness account of the event: “A loud bang and blinding flash. And all you could see was a torrent passing by the aircraft window.”
