Hill By Knock Out, Into Semis

Team Fiji boxing rep Winston Hill has booked a spot in the semifinal today.
Hill knocked out Maola Itiniua of Tuvalu in the welterweight contest at the Caritas indoor complex yesterday.
Hill wowed the crowd with his style and technique.
“I feel great and I feel all the hard work and dedication is slowly materialising,” Hill said.
“I never thought in my life that I will reach here and I’m happy with the result.”
Head coach Pauliasi Ratu said their main aim was to prove critics wrong.
“We want to thank God for his blessing,” Ratu said.
“Before we came there were a lot of critics but we thank all of them and we are focusing on winning three gold medals back to Fiji,” Ratu said.
Viliame Vitukalulu will also take part in the semifinal today after a split points win against his Tonga counterpart on Wednesday.
“Viliame is an experienced boxer and we are are on track,” Ratu said.
Meanwhile, Rabi native Anthony Tina was scheduled to fight Vanuatu’s Robert Waritam in the light heavyweight contest last night. The semifinals will be held today.
