The Dayal family of Ba has provided a boost to a Soroptimist International (SI) Ba project, free of charge.

Dayal Quarries Limited managing director Brij Dayal and his wife has boosted the project worth $8500 of the construction of the Shady Cool Canteen at the Ba HART Home in Namosau, which was opened earlier this year.`

Fiji SI president Dr Maria Doton said the building renovation included the roof, walls and flooring plus the walkway and the driveway.

“Last Wednesday the Dayal family reimbursed $3500 to the club and did not charge the remaining cost. The donation was done in memory of Mrs Savitri Dayal and SI Ba is really grateful for their donation,” Dr Doton said.

The formal handing over was done in the presence of women’s interest officer Ba, Tulia Tabuatalei, and members of the Soroptimist International Ba.

Meanwhile, SI Fiji has noticed an increase in the membership of its various clubs in Ba, Labasa, Lautoka, Nadi, Rakiraki, Sigatoka and Suva.
