Westpac, Vodafone Boost CPA Congress Sponsorship

Westpac Fiji and Vodafone Fiji have once again pledged their support to the CPA Australia-Fiji Branch Congress for the next three years.
The two companies have committed to giving $250,000 in total as sponsorship for the congress from 2016 to 2018.
In addition, a joint sponsorship of $60,000 for setting up this year’s congress was also handed yesterday.
The 2015 CPA Australia-Fiji Branch Congress themed ‘Business Strategy Leadership’ will be held from August 20 to 21 at the Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau Island in Nadi.
CPA Australia-Fiji branch president, Shaneel Nandan, said the theme coincides with the congress aim to provide opportunities for business leaders.
Mr Nandan encouraged our innovative thinkers and industry leaders to attend this year’s event to hear directly from expert speakers they had lined up.
“This year’s theme provides our members to take the lead and take charge especially to demonstrate the expertise within the business communities. ,” he said.
“The 2015 congress will provide an opportunity to hear from others around the globe.”
“This year, we have speakers from the business community, fincance, NGO’s and you must have noted that our key note speaker is the Prime Minister on the first day and on the second day is the attorney General.”
A platform
Westpac Fiji General Manager, Adrian Hughes, said the congress provides the platform for dynamic dialogue and networking.
“We have been supporting this event for quite a few years now and I hope it sends a strong message to the Fiji professional community particularly the CPA’s that Westpac values the great contribution that they make to the Fijian Economy. ,” he said.
Vodafone Fiji director Corporate & Business Marketing, Ronald Prasad, said: “The forum has a great mix of local and international speakers.
“The CPA congress is looked forward to by many in the country. What we have seen is if people take out one thing and practice it in their individual organisations, there will be a ripple effect in the economy.”
