Wheelbarrow Association On Roll

After 12 years of operation within Nausori Town, 25 wheelbarrow boys now have an association to count on.
The Nausori Wheelbarrow Boys Association was launched at the Nausori Police compound on Wednesday.
The members were issued with safety reflector vests that were presented to them by the director of East West Taxi’s and Tours Company, Jona Robanakadavu, who officiated at the launch.
Mr Robanakavu said the launch of the association was a joint venture by Nausori Town Council and the Fiji Police.
“This whole idea is to create job opportunities for most men who have been struggling to make ends meet and for those who have been serving in Nausori as wheelbarrow boys for a number of years,” he said.
“The East West Taxi’s are glad to help the wheelbarrow boys association here in Nausori and the community as a whole,” he said.
The president of the Association, Tevita Ravavai, was thankful to the Nausori Town Council and Fiji Police in Nausori, for recognising the service they provided to the public at large.
