Team Fiji boxers won three silver medals at the 2015 Pacific Games yesterday.

In the welterweight (69kg) category, Winston Hill lost in a unanimous point decision to New Caledonia Louis Danglebermesettle for a silver medal.

In the light heavyweight division (81kg) Anthony Tina Ruata lost to New Caledonia Luke Hema by a technical knockout.

In the last bout heavyweight 91kg category Viliame Vitukalulu lost to Tahiti Heimata Neuffer in a unanimous points’ decision.

Head coach Pauliasi Ratu was satisfied.

“Even though we won silver, we can only get better from here,” Ratu said.

“Fiji should be proud of the boys. They fought and flew the Fijian flag with pride.”

Meanwhile the Fiji men’s beach volleyball team settled for silver after losing to PNG 2-0.
