Vodafone Launches ADSL Internet Access

Vodafone Fiji has launched its newest Internet service for traditional landlines.

The service will enable customers to benefit from dedicated high-speed Internet connection at low cost.

This was launched on Friday.

The ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) service is a novel broadband technology that enables faster data transmission.

It also allows communication over the traditional landlines than the conventional voice-band modem can provide.

The service is ideal for customers seeking high performance and consistent speeds on their Internet connection in homes which can be made available through existing landline cables.

A splitter is used to provide the connectivity to the ADSL which is separate line to the voice connectivity.

The ADSL set up can give dedicated download speeds of up to 10mbps and upload speeds of up to 1mbps.

It is great for users who download and stream videos and play games online with consistent high speed 24/7 internet connection.

General Manager Sales of Vodafone Fiji Rajnesh Prasad said: “With such competitive offering, Internet users in Fiji now have an added choice and greater value for money.”

Vodafone offers the ADSL package for an introductory 30 days offer of zero deposit and no installation costs.

It even gets better with a Wi-Fi router at no cost.

Plans

  • $35 for 10 GB smart blaze plan
  • $50 for 30GB smart mate plan
