The grand opening for new $6.2 million International School Suva (ISS) building is tomorrow.

The ISS event and marketing co-ordinator Salote Narayan said: “The building was designed by Orton Architects and the project was managed by HLK Jacobs but built by the school’s Maintenance team led by its manager, Ram Bali.”

“This development has seen ISS in par with other international schools globally,” She said.

“The ISS mission is to provide excellent international education to prepare all students with the skills necessary to be both positive members of their communities and responsible global citizens,” Ms Narayan said.

“Being the largest international school in Fiji and with the growing number of students, the need for development is paramount in keeping with the school’s mission and vision.

“It is also part of the innovative and wider development plans of the school both academically and environmentally”.

She said the new building would create distinctively an international setting for students who represent over 40 different nationalities.
