Kilaiverata To Seek Legal Aid
Twenty-eight-year-old Usaia Kilaiverata who is charged with the murder of former journalist Losana McGowan, informed the High Court in Suva yesterday that he wanted to apply for Legal Aid assistance.

Twenty-eight-year-old Usaia Kilaiverata who is charged with the murder of former journalist Losana McGowan, informed the High Court in Suva yesterday that he wanted to apply for Legal Aid assistance.
Ms McGowan died on April 4 in her flat in Suva.
It is alleged that Ms McGowan died after a quarrel with Kilaiverata early that morning after they returned from a night out in the city.
Mr Kilaiverata appeared before High Court Judge Priyantha Fernando yesterday.
The matter has been adjourned to August 3.
Kilaiverata, meanwhile, has been further remanded in custody.
