FIJI Water Foundation has again extended funding to Rotary Pacific Water for Life Foundation (RPWLF) enabling a further 500 Fijians to access safe drinking water.

Chief executive officer of Natural Waters of Viti (FIJI Water), Rokoseru Nabalarua, handed over a cheque for $50,000 to RPWLF board members at RPWLF’s annual general meeting earlier this week.

With most part of the country experiencing drought-like weather, Mr Nabalarua acknowledged the need for access to safe drinking water in communities that do not have reliable sources of water.

RPWFL board member Rakesh Gokal thanked the FIJI Water Foundation and said: “RPWFL could not bring clean drinking water to rural communities without the support of donors like the FIJI Water Foundation.”

RPWLF was founded to help communities of Fiji gain access to safe drinking water.

Together with donors like the FIJI Water Foundation, RPWFL has achieved this goal for thousands of people throughout Fiji.

After implementing over 270 water and sanitation projects since their inception in 2007, RPWLF have established a better understanding of water-related problems faced in various communities around the country.
