Army Green defeated defending champions Police Blues 25-15 in Round 11 of the RC Manubhai Escott Shield at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.
In the other matches in the Premier Grade, National Fire Authority (NFA) thrashed Covenant Blues 43-10 in a six-try rout.
In the exciting Naboutini Koroturaga Grade Cup Challenge match, QVSOB defeated Qauia Green 28-15.
Suva Rugby Union secretary Mitieli Waqa said the intensity of competition was taking its toll on the players.
“The competition is coming towards the knockout stage and Premier Grade teams are fighting for the quarterfinal place.
“We are impressed with the performance as they have lifted their performance in this round,” Waqa added.
