Make Use Of Service Well, Navy Told

The Republic of Fiji Navy personnel were reminded yesterday to make use of their commitment and dedication as naval officers during their time of service in the institution.
More than 100 naval officers an sailors gathered at the Stanley Browne Naval Base in Walu Bay, Suva, for a service to commemorate the end of the 40th anniversary celebration yesterday.
The Republic of Fiji Military Forces chaplain, Reverend Inia Tuwere, who conducted the service also reminded the officers and sailors to make good use of their lives and service to the best and honest way they could.
He said, only they would reap the fruits in the future as they grow in the institution.
“Some have retired and we are now seeing the goodness of what they have done for our institution,” Reverend Tuwere said.
“If we do not make good use of the life we live, what has been planned in front of us in the service that we are providing would be wasted.”
Reverend Tuwere urged them to carry out their work in the best possible way while they still had the time.
“All things will come to an end so while you are still here do your work with honesty, truth and integrity,” he said.
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his wife Mary, joined the service.
