Labasa First For Nadroga

Nadroga will need to be consistent if they want to stand a chance in the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants (B.O.G) which starts on Friday at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.

Since they last won the tournament in 2002, Nadroga Football Association vice- president/team director Tiko Matawalu said they aim to make their mark.

“Our pool is tough and it basically comes down to who plays their cards right on game day,” Matawalu said.

“All the teams are preparing accordingly and want to win and we are also doing the same.

“From past tournaments we have seen that we have a few ups and downs in our performance. It has been 13 years since we last won the title.

“Our preparations are going really well, the only thing we are concentrated on is our formation.

“Labasa is a tough team and we will need to be on top of our game.

“We just want to go in and do our best.”

Nadroga will play Labasa 5.30pm at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori on Friday.

In other games, Tailevu Naitasiri plays the opener with Lautoka at 1pm, Suva will take on Nadi at 3pm and hosts Rewa will play Ba at 7.30pm.
