Former Wests Tigers coach Michael Potter is in the country to help develop rugby league for youths in Fiji.

Potter arrived last week and will be spending some time with the Fijian National Under-20 rugby league team before he returns on Thursday.

“ I’ve just come across to help in the development of rugby league for the juniors, U20 and as well the seniors,” Potter said.

“I see a bright future for them, and Fiji should be competitive at the 2017 RWC.

“The players want to play rugby league and they enjoyed doing something active like this.

“We would want to encourage that sort of education for physical activity because it is important for the long journey.

“I am just glad I’m here.

“It’s a lovely place. It’s really about helping Fiji to becoming a better team.
