The John Wesley College Under-18 rugby team aim to win the Coke Zero Deans Trophy.

But first the team will have beat Ratu Navula College in the national quarterfinals at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

Team manager Maciu Rika said they have no excuse if they don’t win the title.

“Preparations have been really good for the past few days and there is no excuse for us bringing the title to Raiwaqa,” Rika said. “The boys are determined and are dedicated during training.”

He said the side was confident in taking out any team.

“No matter what team we play, whether it is Ratu Kadavulevu School, Queen Victoria School or Lelean Memorial School, I can say we are ready for the challenge.

“We have been competing in the quarterfinals every year and we haven’t gone beyond that. This year  we will try to go up a notch.

“Ratu Navula College is always a good team as well as the others.

“All the supporters and parents are requested to come in numbers and support the kids when they perform on that day.”
