Bula Festival contestant Neha Nandni Narayan, 21, will use the week-long event to urge young people to stand up against peer pressure in society.

She is among the 10 contestants vying for the Miss Digicel Bula Festival 2015 crown and is sponsored by Bargain Box.

“I will speak against peer pressure and substance abuse,” Miss Narayan said.

“I was inspired by my parents to pick this topic because people are indulging in drug abuse rather than thinking twice because they want to fit in.”

Miss Narayan is originally from Nadi. She attended Korovuto Primary School and Korovuto College.

She is works at the DHL Express outlet at the Nadi International Airport.

“Be yourself because there is no need to be with someone who doesn’t appreciate you,” she said.
