Former Lautoka Football Association president Shailendra Prasad believes the Blues can win this year’s INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants 2015 which kicks off today.

The tournament was first played in 1978 and Blues won the event in 1985.

“Lautoka won Fiji FACT in 2000 after 15 years, won IDC after 20 years, won CVC and Champions League in 2010 after 17 years and to win the B.O.G after 30 years will be a significant achievement,” he said.

The team will be captained by Peni Finau assisted by Alvin Avinesh and Zibraaz Sahib.

“Most of the players were not born in 1985 when Lautoka last won the B.O.G. I was only four years old. A lot is at stake and we are promising to do our best as a team,” Finau said.

Meanwhile, the LFA has also launched their new website www.lautokafootballsass.com at Singh’s Restaurant in Lautoka during the presentation night on Wednesday.

Lautoka takes on Tailevu-Naitasiri in the opening match at 1pm at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
