Certification Ceremony Expected At The 2015 CPA Congress

The 2015 Certified Public Accountant Congress in Nadi will host a certification ceremony for the first time.
This is in collaboration between CPA Australia and CPA Fiji Branch. The ceremony will be held on Thursday 20 August.
The 2015 CPA Congress is scheduled for 20th and 21st August at the Sheraton Fiji Resort.
In a statement the Fiji Branch President Shaneel Nandan said CPA will also award their senior members their 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 year membership awards.
Mr Nandan explained: “The certification ceremonies are an opportunity to celebrate advancement to CPA status and to meet and network with fellow members.
“It will be a great opportunity for our Fiji members to receive them ceremoniously, where in the past the certificates were mailed directly to the recipient.”
Achievement
He said for any accounting graduate; advancing to CPA status is like a dream come true or the pinnacle in their career.
The CPA Programme is made up of a foundation level, a professional level, and an integrated practical experience requirement.
To advance to CPA status you need to complete all the components of the CPA Programme.
Mr Nandan further said that the up-coming 2015 CPA Congress has now sold out; one month in advance.
The congress will feature a total of 12 speakers with the keynote address to be delivered by Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Attorney-General and Minister for Finance, Public Enterprises, Public Service and Communications.
The branch has also secured the coach of the Vodafone Fiji 7s Team, Ben Ryan, who will speak on the topic “The Winning formula”.
