Kabakoro To Raise Flooding Solution

Salaseini Kabakoro, Miss Bula Buses in the 2015 Digicel Bula Festival in Nadi will use the week-long festival to campaign for solutions to flooding in Nadi.
For years Nadi has been affected by floods.
Miss Kabakoro, originally from Naweni in Cakaudrove, Vanua Levu, has maternal links to Tabiang, Rabi.
She is one of the 10 contestants.
She said she would speak on climate change and its effects which was among causes of flooding in Nadi.
“I learned about climate change in high school, that’s when I wanted to link Nadi being flood prone and climate change,” Miss Kabakoro said.
“I will advocate how people can contribute to mitigating climate change like avoiding littering and also to preserve our ozone layer by not burning plastics which releases toxic chemicals into the atmosphere.”
The 18-year-old is a former student of Swami Vivekananda College and Sabeto Sangam Primary School.
Her hobbies include reading books, socialising and dancing.
“My advice to other youths is to strive for whatever you want to do in life,” she said.
