Narayan To Serve As BSP Life’s Legal GM

BSP Life announced the appointment of Vandhna Narayan as their new General Manager Legal and Compliance.
Ms Narayan returns to the group to manage a role she once previously held under Colonial Fiji Limited.
She joins BSP Life from the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre, where she held the position of Manager Legal and Research and Deputy Coordinator.
Commenting on the appointment, BSP Life’s Managing Director Mr Malakai Naiyaga said: “Vandhna is quite familiar with our business and she brings back into the organisation an enhanced experience in commercial and corporate law.
“She has had exposure in a broad range of legal work locally and overseas and we are excited to have her back.
“We look forward to benefiting from her knowledge and experience in legal work.”
As part of her role, she will also oversee legal and regulatory compliance for BSP Life and its subsidiaries and company secretary to all BSP Life companies and its subsidiaries.
Qualifications
Ms Narayan’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Law degree from Victoria University of Wellington in 1992, a certificate in Professional Legal Studies from Canterbury University and a Master in Human Rights Law and Policy from the University of New South Wales in 2012.
She is a legal practitioner in Fiji having been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor with the High Courts of Fiji and New Zealand and as a Solicitor with the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Her work experience abroad includes Head of Legal for Sovereign Insurance in New Zealand.
She is passionate about law, human rights, rugby, music and life “We are also pleased to have a woman joining our executive team.
