Don’t write off Sitiveni Rabuka (pictured) yet. He says he keeps his options open.

On returning to SODELPA and taking an active role he said there were lot of issues there that needed to be resolved first. If he was approached, he said he would decide when he came to the bridge.

But party president Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu is said to be interested in getting Mr Rabuka involved. Ratu Naiqama has to go past Opposition leader Ro Teimumu Kepa first.

Ro Teimumu and the youth wing did not want Mr Rabuka in the run-up to last year’s general election because of his coup record. Ro Teimumu had said then that if Rabuka came in, she would go out.

Ratu Naiqama is in Australia. When he returns we will know more.

Change of heart

There may be a change of heart happening for the politician in his affair with a doctor.

He is going back to his wife and trying to make up  after he was turfed out with the doctor from the family’s rented house.

The wife who pays the rent caught them in her home and gave them the boot. She has not changed her position.
