Suva set the pace in the second day of the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants (B.O.G) tournament yesterday.

This was after the side defeated Tailevu-Naitasiri 3-0 at the Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.

Suva came back strongly to top Group B and move closer to qualifying for the semifinal with last game against Lautoka today.

The side tops Group B with four points and a win against Lautoka will give them a top finish to host the semifinal at their home turf.

What happened? Oldest giant, Pita Rabo scored in the 41st minute to fire up the side.

Halftime: Suva 1 Tailevu-Naitasiri 0

Suva came back strongly in the second-half as they controlled the play well.

Vodafone Fijian U20 rep Nickel Chand’s sensational strike and Maciu Dunadamu’s penalty gave the side an important win.

Star turn: Rabo was the star for Suva. He played well at midfield to control play.

Comments:  Suva coach Gurjit Singh;

“We are taking one game at a time and we are serious to win this tournament.

“Lautoka will be a tough side, but we are prepared to win. We have some injury concern as our striker Napolioni Qasevakatini is injured and we’re are hoping he recovers on time.”
