What happened:

He was again there when he was needed the most. Striker Iosefo Verevou scored for his home side Rewa with two classic goals as the defending champion qualified for the semifinal from Pool A after defeating Gecko’s Trucking Nadroga 6-0 at the Ratu Cakobau Park.

Rewa needed more than two goals to qualify for the semifinal and Verevou scored in each half to seal the deal.

Rewa is confident of defending their B.O.G title.

The ‘Delta Tigers’ was on fire at their home ground.

Star turn:

Verevou was star for Rewa.

Rewa coach Marika Rodu praised his players.

“As a defending champions we are confident to defend our title and I praise my players for playing well.

“They stepped up to score the much needed goals and I would like to commend them for this victory.”
