Dreketi Football Association president Jai Karan was grateful with what his team achieved this year.

He seemed to be the happiest man at the Galaxy Premier/Senior League awards night at the Fiji Football Association Academy in Suva last Saturday. Karan revealed how they struggled to achieve their target of playing in the Rewa Galaxy Premier League next season.

“I’m very happy with what the boys have achieved,” Karan said.

“It was a great struggle getting the team to play with the big boys and I thank the supporters and Fiji FA for believing in the team.

“The focus now is to prepare and play well next season.

“Our achievement will boost football in the North and it will inspire other teams like Savusavu to join us in the Premier Division.”

Dreketi received $6750 for winning the Senior league and the Vanua Levu Zone.
