The Fiji Football Association will fund preparations for the teams in the 2016 Rewa Galaxy Premier/Senior Football League.

The good news was revealed by Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel during the Rewa Galaxy Premier Football League awards night last Saturday.

The eight Premier teams will be given $5000 each and the Senior teams $2500 for their preparation.

This has been done to ensure that every team gets financial aid to help them prepare well and raise the standard of the competition.

“Teams will receive half of the amount allocated after the first round and the rest handed out after the second round,” Patel said.

“The league will be played in two rounds and this should boost the teams. It will give them the help they need and also increases the level of preparation before the   league starts.

“A big thanks you to the CJ Patel Group and the Vodafone consortium for the big sponsorship for Fiji FA.”
