Waisale Serevi presented jerseys to the Vodafone Flying Fijians in Vancouver, Canada, yesterday.

The rugby 7s legend were among the group of fans who travelled from the United States to cheer on the Flying Fijians as they play Samoa in the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup final at noon today.

Meanwhile, coach John McKee has named a strong team to face Manu Samoa in the 2015 Pacific Nations Cup final at Swanguard Stadium, Burnaby in Vancouver today.

“We have selected a team that reflects the importance of this game in the lead up to Rugby World Cup 2015,” McKee said.

Captain Akapusi Qera returns to the No. 7 position for this match while Masi Matidigo returns to  No. 8 after resting in the match against Japan last week.

“Waisea Nayacalevu gets an opportunity to play at centre, the position he played for at his Stade Francais club in Paris during the 2014-15 season.

“Asaeli Tikoirotuma comes in on the wing, Sunia Koto starts at hooker and Nikola Matawalu gets his chance at halfback today.

“Gabby Lovobalavu is back in the inside centre after he played well against the New Zealand Maori and Samoa.  Josh Matavesi retains the No. 10 spot on the back of his “Man of the Match” performance against Japan.

“The team really needs to step up in this game. Samoa will be a lot tougher and will improve on their close game against Canada.

“To play well in the final is the ideal challenge for us in preparation for World Cup,” McKee said.

In the other matches; Tonga faces Japan in the bronze final while USA faces Canada for fifth place.

The matches will be live-streamed on www.worldrugby.org
