The $16 million ‘Best Banking System’ by Bank South Pacific will be launched on September 5 and 6 and will go live on September 7. The system is an upgrade of BSP’s core banking system.

BSP Country manager Kevin McCarthy announced this during the BSP Regional Managers press conference yesterday.

It has taken two years to drive this system.

Mr McCarthy said this system will make a big difference on how they serve customers.

Process

Mr McCarthy explained: “A customer will be able to walk into our bank and within 20 minutes walk out with their personal loans approved and money in their accounts to go and get from their ATM.”

He added when BSP came to Fiji, they hadmade exciting changes in the market place with new products and they intend to continue this trend.

• In terms of the speed of bringing products into the market place,
• In terms of ease of doing transactions,
• More reliability of ATM and ETFPOS
• Personal side we will have a system that will be able to provide on the spot approvals.
