Former Ba striker Taito Bula believes Ba can claim their 16th Battle of the Giants title.

The former national rep did not mince his words saying the men in blacks will beat Nadi 2-0 in the first semi-final of the Inkk mobile sponsored tournament at Govind Park in Ba, 7pm tonight.

“It will be tough but they can make it simple to beat Nadi if they stick to the way they played against Labasa (3-1) in pool play,” he said.

“That was the way and they just need that exact rhythm of pressuring Nadi in the full 90 minutes, the rest the Ba fans will do from the stands. Recently Ba and Nadi have been competitive playing a different style of football.”

“Ba is a team that does not need to be coached anytime unless the mind of the players is alright. All the players who represent Ba are well developed players from primary school, secondary and club levels.

The side will be banking on young strikers Saula Waqa, Manasa Nawaikula, Malakai Rakula, Jone Vesikula, Meli Codro and Abbu Zahid and Praneel Naidu who makes a return from suspension.

Bula originally from Nailaga, Ba, made his debut for the “Men in Black” in 1988 and won his first BOG in 1990 beating Suva 5-4 in the final at home.

He played alongside legends like of Inia Bola, Vimal Sami, Meli Vuilabasa and Epeli Roqica winning three titles.
