Former Fiji Rugby Union coaching director Franck Boivert is assisting the Marist Brothers High School Under-18 team for the Coke Zero Deans semifinals against Lelean Memorial School tomorrow.

School principal John Atalifo said they would do more talking on the field.

“Marist always prepare to their very best and when we come to play we will play to our very best,” Atalifo said.

He said the three grades U14, U15 and U18 were well prepared.

“All the teams preparations are the same, we are well prepared for the semifinals and we will not underestimate any of the teams.”

Team manager Lekima Nasau said the team had injury problems.

“Seven players were injured from the quarterfinal match last Saturday and some of them have been replaced.

“Even though the seven are injured, the spirit is still high in the team,” Nasau said.

The Kaunikuila boys last won the Deans Trophy in 1978 and look confident to give the defending champions a run for their money.

Meanwhile, Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union president Setareki Merekula had earlier stated the field at Govind Park in Ba was ready to host the much-anticipated semifinal matches this Saturday.

“The ground is in perfect condition and it is looking good to host the games.

“We are looking forward to a very good crowd tomorrow and most importantly very competitive and tough competition,” Merekula said.

“We calling on parents, old scholars and supporters to turn up in numbers and support their respective schools.”

Marist will take on Lelean at 3.30pm while RKS will face Ratu Navula at 2.10pm at Govind Park in Ba tomorrow.
