Radrodro Case Adjourned for Mention

The case involving Emosi Radrodro, which was called last month in relation to the alleged defamation of Fiji Fashion Week (FJFW) and its director, Ellen Whippy-Knight, has been adjourned to next month.

Between March 15 and March 25, Radrodro allegedly published or caused to be published defamatory material identifying FJFW clients with the sole intention of causing injury to their brand and reputation.

These alleged defamatory statements were allegedly made on numerous social media platforms and forums including Facebook, which has a potentially worldwide audience.

FJFW and Ms Whippy are suing Radrodro personally for defamation for the alleged remarks he made that they claim to be false.

On March 25, FJFW lawyers had sent a legal notice to Radrodro for retraction but he indicated that he had no intention of such retraction.

They are being represented by Patel Sharma Lawyers, and Radrodro is currently not represented.

Patel Sharma lawyers had filed the statement of claim and Radrodro has replied with a statement of defence.

The matter will be called for mentioning on September 7.
