Illegal drugs worth more than $100 million have been seized at Kings Wharf in Suva.
They were uncovered in a joint operation between the Fiji Police Force, New Zealand Customs, Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority and the Australian Federal Police.
A Fijian national is in police custody in relation to the seizure.
He is expected to appear in court soon after parcels containing amphetamine weighing close to 80kg were found inside a shipping container.
The Fiji Police Force continues to value the partnership it has developed over the years with its local and foreign law enforcement agencies. With such partnership the Fiji Police is confident in dealing with transnational crime issues and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice.
