A woman in her late 40’s has allegedly misled 15 people and obtained $50,000, Police say.
Complaints have been lodged at the Valelevu Police Station, they add.
They say the woman is an iTaukei, married and believed to be living in a Sigatoka village.
It is alleged that the woman gave the impression she was sending people to America and obtained money from people in Naveiwakau, Valelevu.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said they were investigating the allegation.
