Nasekula Rugby Club received their new uniforms worth $2800 late last week.

Club president Peceli Dulaki said the new uniforms would definitely boost the morale of their players.

“Most of these boys are unemployed so this is like a dream come true for the boys as the old jersey needs replacement,” Mr Dulaki said.

The new set of uniform was donated by A. Hussein Company Limited in Labasa.

Company managing director Hazeem Hussein also took time out to encourage the boys.

“I encourage the boys to look beyond expectations and utilise their sports talents and skills,” Hussein said.

He said the boys should challenge to expose and boost their morale and uplift their self-esteem.

“To break the cycle of the usual gathering around the grog bowl and help them look forward to a better, active and healthy future.”

Hussein confirmed that the contribution of uniforms is only the beginning of a more exciting future ahead, as he intends to continuously help youths in the village.

The Nasekula rugby team have been undefeated at Saturday’s club games at Subrail Park in Labasa.
