The Suva Rewa Galaxy Kaji rugby team were reminded to be in their best form during their church service at Raiwai Methodist Church on Sunday.

The message was delivered to the team by one of the church elders Esita Cokanasiga as the side gears up for the 2015 Rewa Galaxy Kaji rugby competition which runs August 18-20.

“You are now the chosen ones to represent Suva and your families to the final competition that is ahead of you.

“This will be a battle field for you as most of you will be competing for the first time so don’t let fear defeat you,” Cokanasiga said.

“Don’t dwell on the past and focus on the future on the huge task that is in front of you,” she said.

The players were then reminded to always put God first in every matches.

“Make use of the talent that God has given each and every one of you. Use it for the right purpose.

“Always put God first then everything after that will just run smoothly and remember your faith will take you further.

Meanwhile, U9 team manager Peni Niukalasi said preparation is well for all grades.

“We have been very consistent with our training because we know this will not be an easy task.

“We are also trying to build up the skills level the kids have and take them up another stage of rugby,” he said.

The Suva Kaji rugby team had a friendly game against Namosi and Serua last Saturday as part of their build for the competition which will be held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
